OUR STORY
Ser by Yeghsa is a one of a kind center in Armenia, combining elderly, child and animal care.
Stemming from a volunteering experience in Yerevan, where the resources for proper elderly care were found to be scarce, caring for our elderly has become a lifelong mission for us. We are committed to providing them with a dignified life, and the highest quality of care possible.
At the heart of it all is, of course, the memory and legacy of my grandmother, Yeghsa.
Based on several studies conducted by researchers, time spent with children and animals significantly enhances the elders’ cognitive abilities, and helps prevent brain-related illnesses. Thus the idea of establishing a center that combines all three: elderly, child, and animal care.
Our plans are quite ambitious, but with God’s and your help, nothing is impossible.
THE PROGRAM
PHASE I - DAYCARE CENTER
Phase I of our program will consist of:
- Elderly daycare center
- Childcare center
- Animal shelter
- Medical Visits
- Job labs for the elderly to make the most out of their passion and skills.
Additionally, we will be using all means to advocate for laws and regulations for the adequate care of the elderly.
PHASE II - SELF-SUSTAINING COMMUNITY
In Phase II, our plan is to convert the daycare center into a full fledged live-in community with different housing options, in addition to medical clinics, and entertainment facilities.
The elderly will be able to produce and sell their products and services both inside and outside of the community.
Our goal is to make the community self-sustaining by the 5th year of operations.
